Dante & Beatrice Lovers Candle Duo - Fico, Fig Scent
Bougie Parfumée
Dante and Beatrice met in Florence when he was nine years old (1274) and she was eight. Dante fell in love at first sight and thought of Beatrice as a divine and noble angel. It was nearly nine years before they met again. Dante saw Beatrice dressed in white, on the street in Florence, accompanied by two older women. Beatrice turned, smiled and greeted Dante. She filled him with such joy that he returned to his home and that night and had a dream that was the subject of the first sonnet in La Vita Nuova, one of the world's greatest romantic poems. She also appears as a guide through heaven in the Divine Comedy. Beatrice died eight years later at the young age of twenty-four.
CANDLE FRAGRANCE: Fico - Italian Fig
The fragrance recalls the fig trees on the hills of Florence, slightly fruity, and mellow with notes of crushed fig leaf that give this scent a special charm.
